Members’ Guests and Members of overseas Macfie Societies visiting the United Kingdom are welcome at any of our Gatherings.

Please note:-

All social events, tours and activities are organised by the Society, for the enjoyment of its members. The Society can accept no responsibility or liability for any injury, loss or damage that may occur whilst a Member or Guest is participating in any Society-sponsored tour, event or activity.
The Editor welcomes contributions from Members in the form of letters, poems, prose, photos, genealogical, historical or newsworthy items, etc., etc.

If you are unable to type, please do not be deterred from contributing. Handwritten items are quite acceptable, as your script can be typed for you.

Data Protection Act 1998

Guest writers for The Galley would be most welcome. We would like to receive articles, photos, news, cartoons, family stories; anything you think would be of interest to other members.

We do not promise to publish everything that is submitted, but we do promise to use the input of our members whenever possible. We try to keep The Galley to an ‘affordable’ postage-size!

Our Society Membership records are held on computer by the Address List Secretary. Names and addresses of Members and, where directed, telephone numbers and e-mail addresses, have been entered into a system to enable the Membership List and labels for mailing The Galley to be produced.

As these are the only purposes for which the data is used, it is not necessary for the Society to register with the Data Protection Agency. I am required to inform you of this fact and to give you the opportunity, if you so wish, to have the information relating to you deleted from the computer file.
